Summary:
We’re looking for a Middleware Support Engineer to manage and troubleshoot middleware technologies like WebSphere Liberty, Adobe Experience Manager, WebSphere MQ, and DevOps tools (Jenkins, BitBucket, Splunk, SonarQube).
Key Responsibilities:
- WebSphere Liberty Support:
- Manage and maintain data sources, patches, deployments, and connections to other systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues related to WebSphere Liberty configurations and runtime performance.
- Adobe Experience Manager Support:
- Handle administrative tasks, apply patches, and resolve issues related to OSGi modules and break/fix tickets.
- Ensure optimal performance and availability of Adobe Experience Manager systems.
- DevOps Tools Support:
- Administer and troubleshoot tools such as Jenkins, BitBucket, Splunk, SonarQube, and Collaborator.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows.
- WebSphere MQ 9.4 Support:
- Assist in the migration, patching, and troubleshooting of WebSphere MQ queues.
- Networking Protocols:
- Support networking protocols including load balancing, SSL handshakes, certificate creation, renewals, CDNs, DNS, and firewalls.
- Apache Redirects and URL Rewrites:
- Configure and troubleshoot Apache redirects and URL rewrites.
- Use Regex to manage and resolve URL routing issues.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
- Diagnose issues from various logs (application, system, browser traces, Wireshark) and application symptoms.
- Operating Systems:
- Provide troubleshooting support for both Linux and Windows-based systems.
Automation Scripting::
- Develop and maintain automated scripts using Bash or PowerShell for system tasks and patching.
Incident Management:
- Provide timely resolution of Sev 1 outages during US off-hours, ensuring minimal disruption to systems.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with WebSphere Liberty configurations, Adobe Experience Manager administration, and WebSphere MQ 9.4 operations.
Familiarity with networking protocols such as SSL, DNS, and load balancing.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret logs, browser traces, and Wireshark captures.
Proficient in scripting with Bash and PowerShell for automation tasks.
DevOps tools : Jenkins, BitBucket, Splunk, SonarQube.
Experience with Apache server configurations, including redirects, URL rewrites, and regex.
SQL skills: Proficient in writing and troubleshooting SQL queries for database interactions.
Systems & Networking:
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Familiar with CDNs, firewalls, and certificate management (creation and renewals).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with DB2 is a plus.
