Job Summary:

Release Manager will work in a fast paced dynamic environment and will be responsible for managing simultaneous release of multi interdependent products. The activities will include release planning, tracking releases as per the plan, reporting the heath of the release, identifying issues/risks for a release and mitigate the same. Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully, Schedule the release readiness reviews before production go-live

Responsibilities:

  • Release life cycle planning for multi interdependent products
  • Communicate the release plan with the products teams & stakeholders, highlighting the release phases/milestones, timelines & dependencies
  • Coordinate with the product teams & stakeholders on release dependencies, release issues, quality defects, infrastructure updates etc
  • Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, without letting the scope, schedule or quality of the release getting affected
  • Track the release progress & report the same to the product teams/release stakeholders. Always work to improve the process of release
  • Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully, Schedule the release readiness reviews before production go-live
  • Develop implementation runbook and coordinate deployments as per the release schedule
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, and dependencies
  • Schedule & facilitate cross product dependency discussions to perform impact analysis to minimize risk
  • Assess change readiness with feedback from the impacted stakeholders; Ensure that quality of the change conforms to the agreed upon acceptable levels

Skill & Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required - BE/B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA/M.Tech/M.Sc/MCA
  • Experience range : Overall 10-12 yrs of experience in the IT, 4 years of relevant experience as a Release Manager/Coordinator
  • Technology Stack : CI-CD/DevOps processes, Build & Deployment Automation, SDLC, QA processes, application infrastructure
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively, ready to think out-of-the-box and deliver on a fast pace
  • Knowledge of of Cloud, DevOps, Design patterns, Jenkins, GIT, Grafana, ELK, JUNIT
  • Excellent analytical skills and love for data crunching
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, Excellent coordination & interpersonal skills
