Qualifications:

  • +5 years engineering experience.
  • Mechanical (structural) or Electrical design experience in electronic, telecommunication, automotive and defense industries.
  • EMI and Thermal material application experience
  • Experience in the dispensing system of Thermal Gel and Form-In-Place gasket and its operation is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Automotive and Defence Standard & Requirements.
  • Project Management skills and experience with Project Management tools like SAP, IMS, Microsoft Office.
  • Hand on Experience & knowledge in plastic injection molding, die casting, CNC machining, and rapid prototyping technologies.
  • Immense knowledge and experience in Product Development Cycle and Process from conceptual to MP.
  • Product design and development skills, Proficient in operating Engineering CAD software like AutoCAD, Pro-E/CREO, Solidworks, CATIA.
  • Must demonstrate effective organizational and verbal/written English communication skills.
  • PC Proficient (MS Word, Excel, preferred).


Position Summary:

Technical support to the customers on all application/engineering issues, work closely with the sales team to penetrate the markets and explore new applications for Chomerics products, develops necessary tools and training material, conducts training seminars, and assists in application engineering of Chomerics when required.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction:

Reports to Application Engineering Manager and works with Sales Managers, Distributors, Customers and Operational teams, to promote the sales of Chomerics products.


Essential Functions:

A) Provides application engineering support for Thermal Interface and EMI Shielding products (40%)

  • Provides off-site or on-site technical assistance to customers
  • Coordinates activities with Inside Sales Reps, Field Sales and manufacturing team.
  • Support the Inside Sales on customers incoming technical and applications inquires (via email/phone/fax).

B) Performs and manages Applications related projects for key customers to support the business growth. (40%)

C) Work with Sales Manager, potential customer and R&D engineer on New Product Development, assist in communicating with customers, collecting feedback and solving any potential application issues. (10%)

D) Develops and implements annual SOPs (Standards of Performance). (10%).
