Position: Behavioral Counselor

As a Behavioral Counselor, you will play a key role in supporting children’s mental health and well-being. Your responsibilities will include:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assessments & Counseling: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalized intervention plans, and provide counseling services to students.
  • Training & Support: Train and guide counseling psychologists on various assessment techniques.
  • Referral Services: Provide referral services to students and parents when specialized support is needed.
  • On-Site School Support: Serve as an on-site counselor for 5 to 6 school clients across various locations in Pune, Maharashtra.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Generate reports that comply with India's national board requirements, supporting inspection processes and maintaining accurate records.
  • Academic Guidance: Assist students with course selection, study habits, and exam preparation.
  • Program Implementation: Lead the implementation of SEEL-based programs for students, parents, and teachers.
  • Workshops: Conduct workshops on essential topics like stress management, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills for teachers, students, and parents.
  • Behavior Management: Develop tailored behavior management plans for students facing challenges, collaborating with teachers and parents for effective outcomes.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with school management, students, and parents to provide academic and emotional support.
  • Address compliance matters by guiding schools and their counselors, working with 5 to 6 clients weekly.
  • Assist the Business Team in pitching services to prospective clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years as a clinical psychologist or school counselor.
  • Education: MA/M.Sc in Psychology or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with India's school board requirements is essential.
  • Expertise: Ability to address the unique mental health challenges of both mainstream and special needs children.
  • Additional Skills: Experience in career counseling is a plus.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and multilingual communication skills (fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi).
  • Proficiency: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Location: Based in Pune, Maharashtra.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to various locations within Maharashtra.
