As an IT Asset Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of assets within an organization, including planning, procurement, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and disposal. Your primary objective will be to optimize the utilization, performance, and value of assets while minimizing risks and costs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Knowledge on Developing and implement asset management strategies, policies, and procedures.
Coordinate with stakeholders to define asset requirements and specifications.
Manage asset procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
Deploy assets according to established standards and guidelines.
Monitor asset performance and utilization, identifying opportunities for optimization.
Responsible for regular audits to ensure accuracy of asset records and compliance with policies.
Develop and maintain asset inventory databases and tracking systems.
Should have technical skills and troubleshooting for asset-related issues.
Plan and execute asset maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance when needed.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate asset management systems with other IT infrastructure.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to asset management.
Qualifications:
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology.
Proven experience in asset management, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management principles and practices.
Proficiency in asset management software and tools.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Certification in asset management (e.g., CAMA) is a plus.
