This role involves gathering and interpreting data, identifying trends, and providing insights that will support the development of innovative food processing techniques and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Data Collection:
Conduct comprehensive research on various aspects of the food processing industry, including emerging technologies, market trends, regulatory changes, and consumer preferences.
Gather and analyse data from primary and secondary sources to support research projects and initiatives.
Trend Analysis and Reporting:
Identify and analyse key trends in the food processing sector and their potential impact on the industry.
Prepare detailed reports, white papers, and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders, including management and cross-functional teams.
Innovation and Development Support:
Provide research-based insights and recommendations to support the development of new food processing techniques, products, and processes.
Collaborate with product development, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure research findings are integrated into the company's strategies and operations.
Regulatory and Compliance Research:
Stay informed about local, national, and international food safety and quality regulations.
Conduct research to ensure that the company’s products and processes comply with current regulations and standards.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
Work closely with internal teams and external partners to share research findings and promote knowledge transfer.
Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the food processing sector.
Project Management:
Manage and oversee research projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.
Develop and maintain research documentation, including project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Skills:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report writing and presenting findings.
Proficiency in research tools, databases, and software relevant to the food processing industry.
Knowledge of food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
