Surgery Medical Coder

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgery Coder to join our team in Ekkaduthangal. The ideal candidate will have 1- 4 years of experience in medical coding, with a focus on surgical procedures. The Surgery Coder will be responsible for reviewing clinical documents and coding surgeries accurately, ensuring compliance with all applicable coding guidelines and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze surgical documentation to assign appropriate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
- Ensure accurate coding to maximize reimbursement and minimize claim denials.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to clarify documentation and coding queries.
- Participate in regular coding audits and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Ensure timely submission of coded data to the billing department.
- Stay informed about changes in surgery coding practices and guidelines.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. - Experience:
1-4 years of medical coding experience, with a strong emphasis on surgery coding. - Certification:
Certified Professional Coder . - Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems. Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical procedures.
