Role Overview We are hiring experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrators (DBAs) for one of our clients, a leading global technology company . The role involves providing BAU support, performance tuning, and maintenance for PostgreSQL environments while ensuring database availability, security, and reliability. The candidate will also collaborate closely with engineering teams to support feature development and automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide BAU PostgreSQL support across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) . Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL databases in alignment with SLAs. Implement and manage high availability (HA) , clustering , and replication using Patroni . Manage backup and recovery operations leveraging pgBackRest . Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and database issues . Ensure Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness and compliance with security policies. Partner with automation engineers to support Ansible-based deployments . Support a seamless transition from current support arrangements Required Skills & Experience Strong expertise in PostgreSQL administration , performance tuning , and troubleshooting . Hands-on experience with Crunchy PostgreSQL and Patroni clustering . Proficiency with pgBackRest for backup and recovery management. In-depth understanding of PostgreSQL infrastructure , replication, and HA configurations. Strong Linux/Unix administration background with advanced Bash scripting skills. Experience working across multi-cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Proven experience in monitoring and alerting for large-scale systems. Exposure to FOAK (First of a Kind) solution environments will be an added advantage.
