In our goal of being a global trade enabler, we are investing in a variety of software products and businesses like ecommerce, end to end logistics. We are building a blockchain-backed trade logistics platform with the goal to provide the most frictionless experience for all parties in the cross-border global supply chain; buyers, suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, logistics service providers, port operators, customs, etc. Problems we are tackling include purchase order and shipment collaboration, document automation, shipping route optimization, rate engine, transition time prediction, customer insights and growth, business performance analytics, transaction risk modelling, etc. This is an initiative with a fast paced, highly collaborative start up like environment inside a global company.

The ideal candidate should have an eye for simplicity and artful design, be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flow and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Be an inspiring and a hands-on design manager, growing and mentoring a small, focused team, while leading design craft by example.
Coach and mentor UX designers in your team. Attract design talent to the team, hire, grow, retain and promote designers.
Work with other managers and cross functional stakeholders to drive the design strategy, improve processes, and align team objectives with critical initiatives. Deeply engage with business, product management and engineering teams for consistent impact.
Evaluate design performance by filtering through customer surveys and responses from UX research to determine how well the design performed. It is crucial to have a finger on the pulse of what doesn't work, and how to improve or enhance quickly.
Guide the vision and execution of your team over the long and short term to drive impact through design.
Driving innovation and lean UX methods to deliver seamless and pleasing user experience across products.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
12+ years of experience in UX Design
5+ years of people management and UX leadership experience.
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical and leadership skills, including the ability to communicate interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple organizations and drive alignment.
Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced environment, working on ambiguous and challenging projects.
Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business needs, and customer expectations.
Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly or remotely with PMs, fellow designers and developers for implementation of customer experiences.
Experience with best practices for information architecture and design, as well as experience with usability principles and techniques
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience
Strong working knowledge and advanced understanding in Figma is a MUST.
Proficiency in a variety of other design tools (eg. Sketch, InVision, Framer JS, Flinto, Illustrator, Adobe Suite)
A strong design portfolio showcasing previous projects/achievements.
