Role Overview:

The Business Analyst (BA) will play a crucial role in managing Market Risk Change projects at Organization, working with local and regional stakeholders to deliver the project book of work. The role involves understanding and supporting the Market Risk projects, independently managing projects through their lifecycle, and collaborating with various teams to enhance project delivery and business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Independently manage medium to large-scale projects from initiation to completion using BA tools (e.g., business requirement documents, functional specification documents, data matrix, Work Flow Diagrams).
  • Testing: Oversee test management processes, including Test Strategy/Approach documentation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), test plans, test scenarios, and implementation plans.
  • Stakeholder Assistance: Support stakeholder businesses with tactical and strategic solution requirements, services, and programs.
  • Collaboration: Work with Technology, Risk Management, Risk Middle Office, and Front Office to identify and leverage opportunities for project delivery and process improvements.
  • Teamwork and Training: Collaborate with a team, train individuals on various subjects, structure project governance, and work with regional counterparts to devise an induction framework for project resources.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present project reports, including weekly updates, monthly status updates, risk highlights, resource utilization, trend analysis, and recommendations for adjustments.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Capital Markets Knowledge: Strong understanding of capital market products and derivatives across asset classes.
  • Market Risk Domain Expertise: Experience in areas such as computation of risk measures (VaR, IRC, ES, etc.), risk limits management, and risk reporting.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of Basel norms, particularly FRTB and Basel 2.5 standards.
  • Project Methodologies: Ability to operate in both agile and waterfall methodologies with an understanding of required deliverables for each.
  • Documentation and Attention to Detail: High-quality standards in documentation, processes, and control environments.
  • Systems Delivery: Experience in the end-to-end (E2E) systems delivery lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Technical Proficiency: Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio) and proficiency in data analysis and BI solutions (SQL, Python, Dremio, PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau).
  • Communication and Organization: Excellent communication, organizational, prioritization, and documentation skills.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt effectively to changing plans, domains, and priorities, with a comfort level in dealing with ambiguity.
  • Process Improvement: Rigorous follow-up on commitments, with a capability to identify inefficiencies and suggest ideas for automation and operating model changes.
  • Testing Expertise: Strong understanding of best practices in functional testing, especially User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
