Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Conducting regular physical counts of food and supplies to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitoring stock levels and reordering items as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Implementing stock rotation to ensure older products are used before newer ones.
  • Receiving and Stocking:
  • Receiving deliveries from vendors, checking for accuracy and damage.
  • Properly storing and organizing supplies to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
  • Procurement:
  • Coordinating with suppliers to arrange for timely delivery of food and catering supplies.
  • Tracking inventory usage to forecast future needs.
  • Record Keeping:
  • Accurately entering inventory data into a system or register.
  • Maintaining records of stock levels, usage, and orders.
  • Compliance:
  • Adhering to and enforcing food safety and hygiene regulations within the canteen.
  • Communication:
  • Communicating with the Canteen Supervisor or Manager to report stock status and any issues.
  • Addressing any inquiries or concerns from staff or customers regarding item availability.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain an organized system for stock.
  • Attention to Detail: Essential for accurate counting and record-keeping.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with inventory management software or spreadsheets.
  • Communication Skills: To effectively interact with staff, suppliers, and supervisors.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety: Understanding and adherence to health and hygiene regulations.
  • Physical Stamina: The ability to lift and move items, as required.

Pay: ₹12, ₹14,000.00 per month
