Position – GCP Data Engineering – Architect

Work Location – Pune. (Relocation reimbursement applicable as per company norms)

Experience - 12+ Years

Technical Proficiency:

- 12+ years of proven experience in Big Data Engineering.· Expertise and leadership on large scale enterprise design and implementation of Data pipelines.- Ability to establish technology vision, lead transformational journeys, drive best practices and collaborate with business leaders/stakeholders.- Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL and Google Cloud Services.· Google Cloud certified professionals will be preferred.· Exposure to CPG domain is a big plus.· Competency in DevOps (Docker), Build, Code Repo (Git), IaaC (Terraform), Data as a service.· Proficiency in architecting data pipelines that handle streaming and batch data ingestion, storage, orchestration, processing, governance and consumption data sets.- Familiarity with any one or more additional skills including transformation (DBT), Data modelling, Data warehousing, Anaplan, Looker, PowerBI and other Visualization tools.· Extra credit for capability in Snowflake or Databricks or AI-ML.· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges.- Strong communication, team management and leadership skills.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Responsible for overall solutions architecture of data foundations & use-cases.- Participate in in requirements gathering and architectural discussions. Define technical requirements and create solution designs that align with business goals and objectives.- Work with Business stakeholders for requirements prioritization.- Collaborate on solution design teams, planning and estimation.- Lead PoC and pilots of new reusable frameworks, tools & technologies.- Evaluate newest technologies for optimization opportunities and future enhancement needs like self-serve and ad hoc reporting. Implement necessary infrastructure for optimal and efficient ETL from a disparate data.- Address performance optimization, security and compliance, cost management and scalability needs.- Responsible for overall quality of Engineering builds and Architecture.- Provide expertise with Master Data Management, Reference Data Management, Data Quality, Meta Data Management and Data Governance in General.· Lead creation of technical design/specifications and provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, promoting best practices.- Enforce consistent standards and quality through end-to-end review of all artefacts (incl. BRD, HLD, LLD, Data Models, STTMs, UI-UX, NFRs, Code, Test, PBI architecture design.· Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support the development and maintenance of data solutions.- Support Agile Project Management, task prioritization and assignment.· Lead and mentor teams and troubleshoot problems.- Identify training and upskilling needs.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, MIS or Equivalent combination of Education and Experience.
