Be part of a team that’s shaping the future of digital innovation.Location: Bengaluru, India (Hybrid: 1 week per month in office)Contract: Initial 1-Year Contract with possibility of extension/prolongationFocus: Open Shift Virtualization Platform Management & VMware MigrationWe are seeking highly skilled Open Shift Virtualization experts for a strategic client project to modernize infrastructure by migrating from legacy VMware to a robust Red Hat Open Shift Virtualization platform.Role SummaryAs a key consultant, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a large-scale Open Shift environment. A core objective is leading the seamless migration of virtual machines (VMs) from VMware to Open Shift Virtualization.Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Management: Install, configure, automate, and maintain our production Red Hat Open Shift platform with the Open Shift Virtualization operator.VM Migration: Lead the migration of virtual servers from VMware v Sphere to Open Shift Virtualization using tools like virt-v2v.Performance & Optimization: Monitor platform health, performance, and capacity; perform tuning for virtualized workloads.Troubleshooting: Serve as an escalation point for complex issues related to Open Shift Virtualization, Kube Virt, networking, and storage.Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, or Golang (Infrastructure as Code).Mandatory Qualifications & ExperienceSenior: 6+ years / Principal: 8+ years in infrastructure engineering.Proven, hands-on experience with Red Hat Open Shift Virtualization in a production environment.Deep expertise in the core Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform (OCP 4.x+).Strong understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals and hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL, Cent OS).Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible or Terraform.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.Highly Desirable SkillsExpert-level knowledge of VMware v Sphere.Direct experience migrating VMs from VMware to Open Shift Virtualization.Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, Go).Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCE, CKA, Open Shift Virtualization Specialist).Location & Work Model:This role is hybrid, requiring 1 week per month in our Bengaluru office.We are prioritizing local Bengaluru candidates.Non-local candidates are welcome to apply if they are willing and able to meet the in-office requirement.Contract DetailsThis is an initial 1-year contract with a strong possibility of extension/prolongation based on performance and project needs.
