Vice Principal

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice Principal to join our leadership team at The Gurukulam School, Varanasi. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for educational excellence.

Location: - Varanasi

1. Academic Leadership

• Support the Principal in implementing the academic vision of the school.
• Supervise curriculum implementation and lesson planning.
• Monitor teaching standards and student academic performance.
• Guide and support Heads of Departments and faculty in academic strategies.
• Introduce and manage academic improvement programs.

2. Administration & Operations

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the school.
• Coordinate timetabling, class schedules, and substitution planning.
• Oversee the smooth functioning of examinations and assessments.
• Ensure compliance with board regulations (CBSE/ICSE/IB etc.).

3. Staff Management

• Supervise and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff performance.
• Assist with teacher recruitment, onboarding, and training.
• Mediate staff issues and ensure team coordination.
• Conduct classroom observations and give constructive feedback.

4. Discipline & Student Welfare

• Maintain discipline and a positive school culture.
• Handle student behaviour concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
• Implement policies on attendance, punctuality, and conduct.
• Monitor student well-being and support student counselling initiatives.

5. Parent & Community Engagement

• Act as a liaison between parents and the school.
• Handle parent queries, concerns, and communication.
• Represent the school in community events and education forums.

6. Leadership & Decision Making

• Stand in for the Principal during their absence.
• Support strategic decision-making with data and insights.
• Drive initiatives in school development, digital learning, and innovation.
• Collaborate in preparing school improvement plans.

7. Co-curricular Oversight

• Plan and supervise co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
• Coordinate inter-house and inter-school events.
• Encourage student participation and talent development.

8. Policy Implementation & Compliance

• Ensure school policies are communicated and enforced effectively.
• Monitor adherence to health, safety, and child protection policies.
• Maintain documentation and reporting in line with educational regulations.
