Job Description

As Principal Data & Analytics - Finance, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of analytics within the finance department. Your primary focus will be on leveraging data to drive informed decision-making, optimize financial processes, and support the organization's financial transformation initiatives. This role involves combining expertise in Master Data Management, Finance Reference Data, Informatica, and Google Cloud to build robust analytics frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive analytics strategy aligned with the finance function's objectives. Drive a data-driven culture within the finance team and across the organization. Lead the vision for change initiatives and establish a roadmap for successful transformation.
  • Data & Analytics Integration: Drive the integration of data and analytics into finance transformation efforts. Identify opportunities to leverage data-driven insights for process optimization, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with finance teams, IT, data analytics, and other relevant departments to understand current processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Foster alignment and cooperation to drive transformational changes.
  • Process Reengineering: Lead efforts to reengineer finance processes, implementing best practices, automation, and efficiency improvements. Streamline financial workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Technology Implementation: Oversee the selection, implementation, and integration of technology solutions that support finance transformation goals. Evaluate and deploy advanced analytics tools, ERP systems, and other financial software.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and methodologies. Communicate changes effectively and manage stakeholders' expectations.
  • Performance Measurement: Define KPIs and metrics to measure the success and impact of finance transformation initiatives. Continuously monitor and evaluate performance, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Master Data Management (MDM): Oversee the development and maintenance of MDM frameworks, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of financial data across various systems and platforms.
  • Finance Reference Data Management: Lead initiatives to establish and maintain a reliable reference data repository for finance-related information, enabling efficient and accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Informatica Expertise: Utilize expertise in Informatica or similar ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools to design and implement data integration processes, ensuring seamless data flow across different finance systems and applications.
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Leverage GCP's data storage, processing, and analytics capabilities to optimize data infrastructure and enable scalable and efficient analytics solutions for finance.
  • Finance Transformation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support finance transformation initiatives. Use analytics to drive process improvements, automate tasks, and enhance financial forecasting and modeling.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with finance leaders, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand requirements, communicate insights effectively, and align analytics initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications
  • Proven Experience: Extensive experience (12+ years) in a senior analytics role within the finance domain, with a focus on MDM, Finance Reference Data, Informatica, and Google Cloud.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Informatica or similar ETL tools, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services relevant to analytics, and familiarity with finance systems and databases.
  • Finance Acumen: Strong understanding of financial concepts, reporting requirements, and processes within various industry sectors. Experience in finance transformation projects is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
