Job Summary:The Tender Manager is responsible for managing the entire tendering process for both government and private interior design projects. This role involves identifying tender opportunities, preparing and submitting competitive bids, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and client requirements. The Tender Manager works closely with various departments to develop winning strategies and secure new business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tender Identification and Analysis:* Monitor and identify tender opportunities in both government and private sectors.* Analyze tender documents to understand project requirements, scope, and evaluation criteria.
2. Bid Preparation and Submission:* Develop and manage the bid preparation process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of tender documents.* Coordinate with internal teams (design, project management, finance, legal) to gather necessary information and inputs for the bid.* Prepare detailed project proposals, including technical and financial aspects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and company capabilities.* Ensure all submissions comply with regulatory and client-specific requirements.
3. Strategy Development:* Develop and implement effective tendering strategies to maximize the likelihood of winning bids.* Conduct market research to understand competitive landscape and positioning.
4. Stakeholder Management:* Liaise with clients, consultants, and partners throughout the tendering process to build strong relationships and ensure clarity on requirements.* Manage communications with stakeholders, ensuring all inquiries and clarifications are addressed promptly.
5. Financial Management:* Prepare and review cost estimates and budgets for tenders, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.* Work with the finance team to ensure all financial aspects of bids are accurate and comply with company policies.
6. Risk Management and Compliance :* Identify and mitigate risks associated with tendering processes and proposed projects.* Ensure all tenders comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.* Maintain accurate records of all tender activities, including submissions, decisions, and feedback.
7. Post-Tender Activities:* Follow up on submitted tenders, addressing any post-submission inquiries and requests for additional information.* Conduct post-tender reviews to identify areas for improvement and lessons learned.* Negotiate contract terms and conditions if the tender is successful.
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.• Minimum of 4 years of experience in tender management, preferably within the interior design or construction industry.• Proven track record of managing successful tenders for government and private projects.• Strong understanding of tendering processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tender management software.• Strong analytical and financial management skills.• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
