About the Role
The MRO and Reliability Data Scientist plays a critical role in identifying actionable insights from available data in our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) using cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning in Python to drive productivity improvements in our factories. As part of the Process & Manufacturing Excellence team, you will support over 60+ plants worldwide. The role involves collaborating across functional teams such as Engineering, Process Excellence, and Sourcing to provide data-driven insights for productivity and cost-saving initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to the company's long-term goal of operational excellence, focusing on enhancing asset reliability and maintenance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analytics & Insights : Use advanced analytics and machine learning to extract, analyze, and interpret data from systems like CMMS, MES, and other operational tools to provide actionable insights on asset performance.
Master Data Management : Manage and maintain accurate master data for MRO, including spare parts and equipment, ensuring global data harmonization and governance.
Training & Development : Create and deliver training content for users and reliability engineers, supporting global sites with the PM (Preventive Maintenance) pillar.
Requirements
Strong experience in data analysis , KPI development, and reporting within a maintenance or industrial setting.
Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement practices.
Technical skills : Proficiency in Python (machine learning). Experience with SQL databases (MS SQL, MySQL) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). At minimum, basic understanding of manufacturing automation (PLC, SCADA, MES, Historian).
Education : Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Data & Computer Science.
Languages : Fluency in English is a must; other languages is a plus.
Industry experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial IT environment, ideally in industry 4.0, industrial automation, or business analysis. 1 year experience in processing or manufacturing industries such as food & beverage, petrochemical, pharma is preferred. A background in reliability and/or maintenance management is highly desirable.
Experience with CMMS (Maximo, SAP PM, Infor/Hexagon EAM) is highly desirable.
