Position:

Advanced Analytics & Data Sciences: Principal Scientist – Forecasting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key business partners and work within team to identify, scope, and execute predictive analytic efforts that leverage data to answer business questions, solve business needs, and add business value
  • Work on challenging problems across the pharmaceutical value change such as Discovery Research, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Clinical Trials.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical industry (from discovery to commercialization) and be fully engaged with teams, bringing an objective voice to the table, and facilitating decisions grounded in data.
  • Collaborate with other analytics team members to review and provide feedback on the analytics work being done and be willing to seek feedback from other team members about your own work.
  • Stay current with respect to new analytical methods in the area of predictive analytics, to maintain proficiency in applying new and varied methods, and to be competent in justifying methods selected.
  • Developing the strategy of Forecasting for Newly Launched Product.
  • Agility and flexibility to work with very diverse problems and business partners.
  • Ability to work with diverse data sources and data types.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Masters in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Data Sciences, Engineering, or quantitative related field

  • Deep and broad knowledge of Data Science methods and tools including model building principles, machine learning, and best practices.

  • Point Forecasting and Probabilistic Forecasting

  • Statistical Forecasting: ARIMA, THETA, Exponential Smoothing

  • ML based Forecasting: GBM, LightGBM, XGBoost, Linear Regression,

  • DL based Forecasting: DeepAR, NBEATS, LSTM, RNN

  • Hierarchical Forecasting

  • Foundational Time Series Model

  • Cross-Validation: Rolling-window, Expanding-window, K-fold, Hold-out

  • 9-14 years of experience working as a Data Scientist in industry
