About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Store Salesman with at least 1 year of experience in reputed retail environments such as D-Mart, Spencer's, Reliance Digital, Big Bazaar, Vishal Mega Mart, or similar. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in product display, stock management, and maintaining store hygiene to ensure a great shopping experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Re-racking and Merchandising: Arrange and re-arrange products on shelves/racks as per store planogram and category display requirements.
Stock Management: Monitor inventory levels, ensure proper stacking, and report low stock or damage to the supervisor.
Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of product shelves, racks, and display areas; remove dust and ensure items are presentable at all times.
Customer Assistance: Help customers locate products, answer basic product-related queries, and provide courteous service.
Price Tagging & Labelling: Ensure products have accurate price tags, barcodes, and promotional labels.
Expiry & Damage Checks: Regularly check for near-expiry products or damaged goods and follow the replacement process.
Loading & Unloading: Assist in receiving new stock deliveries and moving items to designated shelves.
Compliance: Follow safety, hygiene, and company SOPs for product handling.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in retail store, supermarket, or mall-based FMCG operations.
Education: Minimum 10th / 12th pass (higher education preferred).
Skills:
Good knowledge of retail display and stocking methods.
Basic understanding of FMCG product categories.
Ability to lift and move moderate weights for stocking purposes.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Personal Attributes: Punctual, hardworking, team player, and willing to work flexible shifts.
