ISS MI is growing ISS MI is actively looking for an Analyst - Product/Distribution research to Join the Mumbai Team (Goregaon East).

Overview:

ISS Market Intelligence Research forms part of the Market Intelligence (MI) division of ISS.

ISS MI provides critical data and insights to global asset managers, insurance companies and distributors, to help make informed, strategic decisions to manage and grow their business. Through its combination of proprietary and integrated datasets, in-depth global research and trusted executive engagement, ISS MI delivers solutions for market sizing, competitor benchmarking, product strategy and opportunity identification across a wide range of financial products including funds, annuities, insurance, mortgages, and other instruments. The ISS MI suite of solutions encompasses the industry-leading data platforms: Simfund, BrightScope and Financial Clarity; as well a full collection of global research and analytics services, including Investor Economics, Market Metrics, and Plan for Life.

Responsibilities:

Develop and demonstrate superior command of MI data sets and develop new and refine existing analytical perspectives. Mine data for new insights.

Review industry news and developments with the view to keeping current MI Research research capital in their area of coverage. Support Research team leaders in creating verbal and written research briefs, building supporting analyses and documenting emerging industry developments. Support creation of client-ready content in a variety of formats, including competitive factsheets, exhibits of industry metrics prepared by analyst or compelling presentations.

Deliver reports and research content on a timely basis. Support research client requests.

Support team leaders in the preparation of client presentations.

Logical thinking (storytelling trend and structuring content in a logical manner).

Be an active contributor to client engagements such as meetings and presentations.

Qualifications:

An graduate degree from a well-recognized university in economics, finance, commerce, business administration. Other disciplines such as mathematics, statistics or social sciences will be considered in combination with experience.

2-3 years’ experience in the financial services industry (asset or wealth management, banking, life insurance, retirement consulting, strategy consulting). Professional experience working for a global organization and supporting global teams a strong asset.

Strong interest in the financial services industry at large and their area of domain expertise in particular. Passion for learning and strong personal motivation for growing knowledge.

Must be proficient in standard office software, (MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Analytical modeling experience an asset.

Logical thinking (to know how to story tell data and prepare slideware).

Ability to deal with ambiguity and meet expectations of the team (quality and deadlines)

High attention to detail and data integrity.

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and people management skills.

Sense of responsibility for deadlines and deliverables.

The flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Excellent problem-solving skills
