As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize your expertise in front-end portal and mobile development to enhance the user experience and drive efficiency within our ServiceNow ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement front-end portal and mobile applications on the ServiceNow platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documentation.
- Develop and optimize user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, etc.).
- Implement responsive designs that are compatible with various devices and screen sizes.
- Integrate ServiceNow applications with external systems and APIs.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to front-end development.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to ServiceNow development.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in ServiceNow development, with a focus on front-end portal and mobile development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related frameworks (Angular, React, etc.).
- Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow development best practices and coding standards.
- Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal and Mobile App Development Framework (MADF).
- Proven track record of designing and implementing user-friendly and visually appealing front-end interfaces.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration of external systems with ServiceNow.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
- Experience with other programming languages commonly used in ServiceNow development (Java, Jelly, etc.).
- 3+ years ServiceNow advanced portal development, HRSD Module (Life Cycle Events, Case and Knowledge management) experience REQUIRED.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
