Specialist Engineer – Visibility Hardware

Group description

Visibility Hardware Group is a SIPD team within CAB Interior Section. We are responsible to design & develop components like – Outer Rear View Mirrors, Wiper System, Beacon Lamps, Position & ID lamps, Extra Main Beam, Indicators, Side Marker Lamps, Headlights, Aux Lamps, Headlamp Panel, Taillamps etc. We work with both NPD (New Product Design) and Maintenance of parts in productions that we continuously are adapting for markets and demands.

Scope of Work

Responsible for leading a team to design & develop SIPD components related to Visibility Hardware.

Core Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership, guiding the team to align with business objectives during project execution. Lead design and development efforts, ensuring designs meet technical requirement, quality standards, performance criteria, and regulatory requirements. Monitor and make sure that the activities performed by the Concept and/or Development Suppliers are fulfilled and meets the agreed QDCF targets. Secure that all product requirements (e.g., technical descriptions and requirement specifications) are contained in the Statement of Work and respect cross functional demands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of components and systems. Address technical challenges and solve complex engineering problems, whether in new product development or troubleshooting existing designs. Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Identify and proactively mitigate risks in design and development projects to prevent delays and cost overruns.

Profile & Qualifications

8-10 Years relevant experience in design & development of SIPD Part – Mirrors / Lamps / Wiper System. Holistic view and knowledge in various functional areas such as Product Development, Purchasing, Manufacturing, After-Market, Logistics Knowledge of materials & manufacturing processes Experience in handling discussions with suppliers & Internal stakeholders.
