An Amazing Career Opportunity for Test Engineer - QA / Mobile Testing with Appium

Location: Chennai, India (Hybrid)

Position:- 1. Roles & Responsibilities: (Test Engineer - 3+ Years)

- Create Test Plans, Test Scripts, Test Cases and Test Data- Record test results (open new tickets, close existing tickets)- Attended design meetings with Developers, Test Engineers and Architects and provide perspective to improve testability.- Provide input on User Story creation from the testing perspective.- Participate in daily stand-up meetings to assess status and plan the day's activities.- Attend design meetings with Developers, Test Engineers and Architects and provide perspective to improve testability.- Triage issues reported in the field by attempting to recreate in local test environment.- Learn test automation strategies from team members.- Install, configure, and operate the product in test and production environments.- Collaborate with fellow engineers to find elegant, long-term solutions as well as creative quick fixes to problems.- Handle tier-3 support issues- Working in high-velocity, agile team

Technical Requirements:

- Experience with app testing including android and iOS.- Experience with at least one Test Case Management tool (TestRail, Zehpyr, EggPlant, TestLodge, etc)- Proven Experience in test automation (Cucumber, Selenium)- Experience in testing Xamarin and MAUI components using C# with specflow- Ability to write meaningful test cases, execute test cases and record results.- Knowledge of testing methodologies and how to apply them (white box, equivalence class partitioning, pairwise, state transition, boundary value, decision table)- Ability to adapt quickly to a complex environment and learn new concepts.- Understanding of Change and Release Management- Experience in Agile software development environment preferred.- Possess a passion for new technology and innovation.

Education and/or Experience:

- An undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required, with graduate degree preferred.- 3+ years of overall experience in Test/QA- REST API testing experience- Experience with Docker and Selenium- Experience with Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, etc- Experience with CI (Jenkins or Bamboo)- Experience with Cloud deployments: AWS- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Position:- 2. Roles & Responsibilities (Lead Test Engineer - 8+ Years)

- Automation Scripting: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications using Appium and Java.- Framework Development: Build and enhance automation frameworks from scratch or using existing tools and frameworks like TestNG, Maven, or JUnit.- Test Case Execution: Plan, execute, and maintain automated test cases for functional and regression testing of mobile apps.-- Integration: Integrate the automation suite with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or other CI/CD pipelines.- Defect Management: Work closely with the development team to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects by analyzing test failures.- Test Coverage: Ensure high test coverage for critical features and functionalities across different mobile platforms (Android/iOS).- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and other QA team members, to understand application requirements.- Reporting: Generate test reports and provide detailed feedback to stakeholders on testing progress, coverage, and quality metrics.- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in the mobile automation environment, including device connectivity and test execution issues

Technical Requirements: QA Engineer Resource Skill Set:

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mobile automation (iOS and Android) testing with Appium.- Programming: Strong proficiency in Java and experience with Java-based testing frameworks (TestNG, JUnit).- Mobile Platforms: In-depth understanding of Android and iOS platforms, including emulator/simulator setup.- CI/CD Tools: Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bamboo, etc.- Version Control: Proficiency in version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket.- API Testing: Familiarity with tools like Postman or REST Assured for API testing is a plus.- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with development and business teams.- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a mobile testing environment.

Education and/or Experience:

- B.E/B. Tech in Computer Science or Information Technology- 8+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation.
