Job Title: Power BI Business Analyst
Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Power BI Business Analyst with a strong background in FMCG/Retail/CPG industries. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, data-driven environments and is passionate about scaling business insights through advanced analytics tools, with a special focus on Power BI. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and business intelligence to generate actionable insights from complex data sets, guide client projects, and drive strategic decisions. You will also play a crucial role in managing client relationships, facilitating business conversations, and delivering impactful analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Power BI Dashboard Development & Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to provide clients with real-time, actionable insights into business performance, particularly in areas like demand forecasting, pricing, category management, and customer analytics.- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and ensuring the successful execution of analytics strategies. Foster strong relationships, actively identifying new opportunities for growth and enhancing client satisfaction.- Insights Discovery & Analytics Strategy : Engage with clients to understand their business challenges and goals. Use data visualization and modeling techniques in Power BI to derive actionable insights that drive business decisions related to pricing optimization, range optimization, and demand planning.- Project Design & Implementation: Lead and guide the design and implementation of all client projects, ensuring smooth execution of both long-term engagements and ad-hoc requests. Oversee the technical aspects of the project, from data extraction and transformation to report delivery and implementation.- Collaboration & Cross-functional Engagement : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business stakeholders, and senior leaders, to ensure that client deliverables are met on time, with high quality and accuracy.- Data Integration & Optimization: Leverage SQL and other BI tools to connect, extract, and transform data from various sources to feed into Power BI reports. Continuously optimize data models to improve performance and ensure scalability.- Continuous Improvement & Agility: Drive innovation by continuously refining your Power BI solutions and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. Adapt quickly to changing client needs and provide scalable analytics solutions to support business growth.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
- Domain Expertise : Experience in the FMCG/Retail/CPG sectors, with a strong understanding of industry-specific business challenges, including demand planning, pricing analytics, category management, and customer analytics.- Power BI Expertise : Proficient in Power BI development, including designing and building interactive dashboards, reports, and data models. Advanced skills in Power Query, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Power BI Service.- Business Intelligence Tools: Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and transformation, and knowledge of data warehousing and optimization techniques.- Analytics Experience: Solid understanding of business analysis in the FMCG/Retail/CPG context, particularly in demand forecasting, pricing optimization, range optimization, and customer behavior analysis.- Communication & Client Managemen t: Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Experience managing client relationships and delivering reports that drive business decisions.- Project Management Skills : Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver analytics solutions.
Experience Level: 5 to 7 Years Minimum
Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days
Location: Bangalore(5 days WFO in a month)
Salary: Based on Company Standards
