Position Title: Manual Tester Internet Banking & Mobile Banking

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to test Internet Banking and Mobile Banking applications to ensure they are free from defects, meet functional requirements, and provide a seamless experience to the end-users. The Manual Tester will work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to identify issues, ensure high-quality deliverables, and assist in delivering top-notch banking products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manual Testing:

2. Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and system testing of Internet Banking and Mobile Banking applications.

3. Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
4. Execute exploratory testing to uncover critical issues not covered by standard test cases.

5. Test applications on multiple browsers and mobile devices (iOS/Android) to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.

6. Requirements Analysis:

7. Review business requirements, technical specifications, and user stories to ensure thorough understanding of the project.

8. Participate in requirement review meetings and provide input on test ability and test cases.

9. Defect Reporting :

10. Log detailed defects with clear reproduction steps in the defect management system.

11. Work with developers to ensure the root cause of defects is identified and provide timely feedback to ensure efficient resolution.

12. Track defects through to resolution and perform verification testing once the defects are fixed.

13. Test Documentation:

14. Document test cases and test scenarios in a clear and structured manner.

15. Maintain and update the test documentation to reflect changes in the requirements or application functionality.

16. Create detailed test reports and provide regular updates to project stakeholders on the status of testing efforts.

17. Collaboration :

18. Work closely with cross-functional teams including product owners, developers, and business analysts to understand application functionality and user requirements.

19. Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other agile ceremonies.

20. Provide feedback on user interface and experience to ensure the banking applications are user-friendly and meet customer expectations.

21. Risk & Impact Analysis :

22. Assess and identify risks and potential impact on application quality, and help mitigate those risks through thorough testing.

23. Identify opportunities for process improvements and testing efficiencies.

24. Compliance and Security Testing

25. Ensure that the application complies with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).

26. Test for security vulnerabilities such as unauthorized access, data leakage, and cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.

27. Usability Testing

28. Test mobile banking applications for ease of use, intuitive navigation, and overall user satisfaction.

29. Report on usability issues and collaborate with UI/UX designers to suggest improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Manual Tester, with at least (2-4) years of hands-on experience in testing Internet Banking and/or Mobile Banking applications.
• Strong knowledge of banking domain processes (payments, transfers, balance checks, loan services, etc.) is highly desirable
• Experience with testing of banking applications (including online and mobile platforms).
• Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks and tools for iOS and Android.
• Proficient in writing test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong knowledge of defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
• Knowledge of database testing (SQL) and API testing (Postman, SOAP UI, etc.).
• Understanding of security testing concepts, such as OWASP security testing practices.
• Exposure to banking industry compliance and regulations (PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.).
• Knowledge of performance testing concepts.
