Section Head

Job Summary:

The Section head is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a specific department or section within a retail store. The role includes managing the team, achieving sales targets, ensuring merchandise display standards, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage the assigned section to achieve sales and profitability goals.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels, inventory accuracy, and product availability.
• Ensure proper product display, signage, and shelf hygiene as per visual merchandising standards.
• Guide and motivate section staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Track and analyse sales trends; provide inputs for promotions and stock planning.
• Train and develop team members to ensure product knowledge and customer handling skills.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues effectively.
• Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for stock replenishment.
• Ensure compliance with store policies, safety, and hygiene standards.
