Sustainability and Macro Research Analyst- Manager

Who we are looking for:
The Sustainability and Thought Leadership team is looking for individuals with strong economics and analytical skills to help create industry-leading thought leadership in sustainability and other macro topics of interest to our global client base. Ability to conduct robust empirical analysis on macroeconomics, financial, and sustainability data, having excellent writing skills and ability to communicate the thought-leadership reports both internally and externally will be important. What you will be responsible for:
Work with senior leaders in researching issues within the Sustainability, Climate and Global Macro Issues Perform literature survey in an effective manner and create short summaries for reviews Coordinate data analysis with diverse global teams Work with writing teams to help create concise and crisp narratives for senior management Write drafts of blogs and working papers on topics of critical global macro relevance Present thought-leadership work in internal meetings Create a publication plan and talking points Engage with content teams and help create content for publication in different media avenue Engage in brain-storming of new ideas in macro and sustainability space Help organize internal research seminarsWhat we value:
Degree in Economics, Technology, Finance, or Environmental Engineering. 2+ years of experience as an economics or quantitative researcher Strong econometric and quantitative skills and data analytics Strong communication and writing skills Ability to summarize complex requirements and information and distill that into digestible, key points Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to execute independently and also maintain strong team orientation Deadline and detail oriented Ability to see big picture on macro issues Interest in environmental, social and governance issues Demonstrated computer proficiency, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel, and econometric/statistical software such as R well as problem solving and analytical skillsEducation & Preferred Qualifications:
University degree in Economics, Technology, Finance, or other Financial-related programs. Certifications: Candidates pursuing FRM (Financial Risk Manager by GARP) / CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) / CISI (Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment) are preferred, but certification is not a must for the roleAbout State Street
