Reports to: Lead Engineer / Engineering Manager – Electrical

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Gurugram. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering, particularly in the execution of projects related to Combined Cycle Power Plants, LNG Plants, and Solar Power Plants. This role requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and the ability to apply them to complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Design: Develop and enact electrical system concepts and design criteria. Perform electrical studies and equipment sizing calculations.
  • Technical Specifications: Prepare technical specifications and conduct technical bid evaluations (TBE) for equipment suppliers.
  • Project Execution: Create construction process drawings and deliverables, design GIS, and take off electrical bills of material.
  • Standards and Documentation: Write electrical engineering standards and prepare electrical system concepts. Develop single line diagrams and conduct main electrical equipment sizing calculations.
  • Equipment Management: Form equipment lists and cable schedules. Organize electrical room layouts and ensure necessary conditions for earthing, conduit, tray, lighting, communication, and lightning design.
  • Load Flow and Short Circuit Studies: Practice load flow and short circuit studies to ensure system reliability and safety.
  • Communication: Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: More than 5 years of engineering experience with at least 2 execution projects in Combined Cycle Power Plants, LNG Plants, Solar Power Plants, etc.
  • Skills: Proficiency in electrical system design, equipment sizing, and technical specification writing. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
