Supervise and coordinate the kitchen staff, ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness of meals. Train and mentor kitchen team members to improve skills and maintain standards. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in accordance with food safety standards. Assist in menu planning, costing, and development of seasonal dishes. Step into the role of Executive Chef during their absence. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high-pressure situations. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role in a high-volume kitchen. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices. Leadership and team management skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
