Job DescriptionPosition Name Vehicle Integration Engineer Position level Level 5DEM position name Vehicle Integration Manager DEM position level Level 4FEM position name NA FEM position level NAPurpose of the positionthe positions exists?will happen if there is no one in the position (no one performs the work)?Responsible for Integration of all aggregates (Digital build of vehicle) to meet the vehicle functionality within specified targets & timeline.Dimensions of the positionFinancial: NANon-Financial: NAPersonal ProfileEducation Graduation in EngineeringSkills/Competencies•Project Management•Product Development Process (NPI/GPDS)•Driving Execution•Problem SolvingRelevant Experience :3+ years in product development with sound knowledge of aggregate integration & digital integration processes.Automobile aggregate knowledgeHands on experience of Digital integration & validation software (Ex- CATIA, ProE, Digital Mockup).Knowledge of PLM system, BOM &VC release process.Knowledge of Vehicle CMVR requirements / Automobile standards.Knowledge of DVA is mustUnderstanding of interpreting CAE reportsUnderstanding of Product AttributesDR Gateway release as per GEN3 success criteria & as per project Timeline3Product Release Management•To analyse Feature list against the Product scope document & to co-ordinate between PPM & various agencies to get it finalize based on manufacturing & performance feasibility.•To co-ordinate with styling team for finalisation of CMFG matrix for colourable parts based on feature list.•To create VC no. & its Tech. specification in PLM system.•Co-ordinate with COC’s for TPL creation & release of TPL’s in PLM system.•BOM checking & DML/TPL releases for various aggregates.•VC release in PLM system.•Color VC releases as per CMFG matrix in co-ordination with PLM & styling team.DR Gateway release as per GEN3 success criteria & as per project Timeline

Key Responsibilities:Responsibility & Key Tasks Measures1Product Development•Coordinate with various functions (within and outside ERC) to ensure the technical delivery of the products as per GEN 3 NPI process.•identify and resolve critical technical issues related to product assembly, serviceability ,cost and quality•Meet product development goals as per DR gateways are aligned to project timelines by collaborating with all stakeholders•Timely escalate the critical issues at all milestones for resolution/signoff.•Drive CAS sign off (FC checklist) with various function to ensure packaging & performance compliance.•Powertrain & feature list finalisation for the project based on cost targets & PIP input.•Evaluate VLO (Vehicle Layout) issues digitally & cross verify the same on actual vehicle.•Prepare & release Vehicle package layout (VPL)•Maintain, monitor & resolve the engineering issues with proper sign off during each stages of projectDR Gateway release as per GEN3 success criteria & as per project Timeline2Contribution to planning•Ensure modularity/commonality of the aggregates while package finalization to reduce D&D costs with COCs.•Provide inputs for developing product delivery plan along with product planning team to meet business goals as defined in BSC.•Perform critical path activities identification, prepare plan risk mitigation and timely resolution & escalation of unresolved critical issues at the right time.•Review the prototype plan and sign off the specification with all the stakeholders (COCs, Suppliers, CAE, Proto team, and Manufacturing team) in order to meet validation criteria.•Receive PIP (Project initiation Process) document from project group. Study & cascade down the new project requirement to all design COC’s•Study the customer requirement and convert it into tech specifications.•To generate the project documents and interact with program management and Marketing for vehicle specification sign offs
