Job Title: Data Migration Specialist (Data Engineer) Location: Bangalore Experience: 5+ yrs Job Type : Contract to hire Notice Period:- Immediate joiner Mandatory Skills · Hands-on experience with Data Migration Specialist (Data Engineer). - Work with subject matter experts and team members to identify, define, collate, document and communicate the data migration requirements - Create mechanism to extract , cleanse , transform , enrich , load and validate data - Analyse data structures , map data fields , validate data integrity - Work closely with solution architect to define target data model - Strong experience in data migration, specifically in moving data from Legacy to cloud - Create working procedure to facilitate the movement of data to the destination storage, ensuring proper handling and processing. - Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the data throughout the migration process. - Validate that the processed data meets business requirements and is fit for purpose. - Experience with Software Development tools eg Toad, Golden, SQL Loader, T-SQL, and/or Import/Export tools; - Migration of BLOB and Metadata – perform checksums , ensure data integrity - Experience in independently work on creating migration strategy and scripts with limited documentation and guidance by exploring existing environment and data structures - Must have experience with the following: Procedural SQL ( eg PL/SQL , Postgres SQL ) , various data loaded eg SQL Loader along with proficiency in document DB , BLOB and associated products such as Dynamo DB , S3 etc - Provide guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on client questions, problems or malfunctions of feed related systems applications; - Excellent communication and organisational skills, including a wide range of architectures and technologies; Responsibilities Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards Support test and deployment of new products and features Participate in code reviews. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
