  • Recruit, train, and mentor agents: A key responsibility is to build a cohesive, high-performing team by recruiting new talent and providing ongoing coaching and development.
  • Set goals and track performance: Team managers set clear sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team. They use sales figures and metrics to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Resolve conflicts and motivate staff: They foster a positive and collaborative team environment by addressing internal conflicts and keeping agents motivated to achieve their targets.
  • Conduct performance reviews: Regular performance evaluations are necessary to provide constructive feedback to agents on their individual successes and challenges.

Sales strategy and execution

  • Develop sales plans: Team managers devise and implement strategic sales plans to help their agents meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Generate and distribute leads: They oversee the generation of new business opportunities and ensure a steady flow of qualified leads to their agents.
  • Analyze market trends: By staying up-to-date on market conditions, pricing, and competitor activities, managers can equip their agents with valuable insights.
  • Assist with complex transactions: For complicated deals or negotiations, the team manager provides guidance and steps in to help their agents close sales.

Client and company relations

  • Build client relationships: They work to foster long-lasting relationships with clients and developers to generate repeat and referral business.
  • Manage transactions and ensure compliance: Managers may oversee the transaction process and work with other departments to ensure smooth operations. They also enforce company policies and legal and ethical standards.
  • Promote the company brand: They represent the company at industry events and networking functions to expand its market presence and reputation.
  • Report to senior management: Team managers prepare regular reports and forecasts on the team's sales performance for senior leadership.
