Position Title:

Head of FinanceQualification: CA

Key Responsibilities

-Financial Reporting:

Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and statements of shareholders' equity. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements.

-Budgeting and Forecasting:

Develop comprehensive annual budgets, financial forecasts, and projections aligned with business goals, historical performance, market trends, and operational plans. Monitor and analyze budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

-Financial Analysis:

Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including performance reviews and trend analysis, to evaluate the organization’s financial health. Define key financial metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to measure profitability, liquidity, and solvency.

-Internal Controls:

Establish robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets and maintain accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Lead internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to detect and address control weaknesses.

-Cash Management:

Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial resources. Monitor cash balances, cash flow projections, debt obligations, and investment activities to ensure operational support.

-Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial planning, strategic initiatives, and business growth. Provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and investment evaluations to guide decision-making.

-Tax Compliance:

Ensure full compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. Coordinate with tax advisors, oversee tax filings, and develop tax strategies to optimize tax positions.

-Financial Systems & Process Improvement:

Oversee financial systems, accounting software, and reporting tools to enhance data accuracy and efficiency. Drive process improvements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives within the finance function.

-External Reporting & Audits:

Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, investors, and financial institutions. Coordinate external audits, reviews, and disclosures to ensure transparency and uphold financial credibility.

-Management Reporting:

Provide senior management and the board with regular financial reports, management dashboards, and performance analyses. Present insights on trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic planning.

-Collaboration & Communication:

Foster a culture of collaboration and transparency by working closely with department heads and communicating financial insights effectively across the organization.

-Performance Evaluation:

Track KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and identify areas for improvement to strengthen financial outcomes and operational performance.

-Professional Development:

Stay current on industry trends and best practices, encouraging continuous learning and professional growth within the finance team.

-Confidentiality:

Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information and ensure adherence to data protection regulations.

Minimum RequirementsQualifications:

Chartered Accountant (CA) with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Additional professional certifications are a plus.Experience:

7–10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally within the renewable energy sector.Technical Skills:

Demonstrated expertise in financial management systems, financial analysis, and accounting software.Leadership Skills:

Proven track record in strategic planning, team leadership, and effective communication.
