Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data engineering, machine learning, and experience working with large language models (LLMs) and data quality processes.The project in which the person will be assigned is a data engineering effort to support the current Data Science and Engineering team. This role will report to the Principal Data Quality Engineer.The application , hosted in AWS, includes EC2, S3, Lambda, Athena, DymanoDB, OpenSearch, CloudWatch, GLUE, Bedrock, SageMaker, Kendra, Amazon Q, Claude from Anthropic Titan Embeddings from in AWS, Python 3, Langchain, and Streamlit.

Must Have Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.10+ years of extensive experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex data solutions.Demonstratable expertise in AWS data services, machine learning services, and cloud-native architectures.Solid understanding of data quality practices, data governance, and data lineage management.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor teams, and drive strategic initiatives.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams and projects.Proven ability to stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data engineering and machine learning.

Desirable Skills:Advanced degreeExperience with AWS machine learning servicesKnowledge of machine learning frameworks, libraries, and large language models (LLMs), with hands-on experience implementing and deploying LLM-based solutions.Contributions to open-source projects or thought leadership in data engineering, machine learning, or LLMs (e.g., publications, conference presentations, blog posts).Experience with streaming data processing and real-time data pipelines.Familiarity with MLOps and model deployment processes.Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and serverless computing.Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing frameworks.
