The ideal candidates will have a strong background in Hindi journalism, with 1-3 years of experience and good knowledge of Indian politics and current affairs. These roles involve researching, reporting, and writing compelling stories that resonate with our readers while upholding the highest standards of journalistic integrity.Key Responsibilities:- Research, report, and write in-depth news articles, features, and analyses on politics and current affairs.- Cover assigned beats, including political developments, government policies, and socio-economic issues in India.- Conduct interviews with key stakeholders, policymakers, experts, and other relevant sources to produce well-rounded stories.- Stay updated on current events and emerging trends to pitch original story ideas.- Collaborate with editors and the editorial team to ensure content aligns with News Gram’s editorial standards and audience expectations.- Fact-check and verify information to maintain credibility and accuracy in reporting.- Contribute to multimedia content, including articles, opinion pieces, and potentially video or podcast segments.- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality journalistic output.- Represent News Gram professionally at press conferences, events, or other relevant gatherings as needed.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Political Science, or a related field.- 1-3 years of professional journalism experience, preferably in print, digital, or broadcast media.- Strong knowledge of Indian politics, current affairs, and socio-political issues.- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a focus on clarity and accuracy.- Proven ability to source and develop stories independently and work under tight deadlines.- Familiarity with digital journalism tools and platforms, including content management systems (CMS).- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for conducting interviews and building networks.- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced newsroom environment.- Additinal Proficiency in English is a plus.Preferred Skills:- Experience covering political beats or investigative journalism.- Familiarity with SEO best practices and social media engagement strategies.- Comfort with multimedia storytelling, including video, audio, or data visualization.Location:The position is based in New Delhi (Jor Bagh area), India.
