Canteen Coordinator Position Type School Operations Commence Date 30 Jan 2026 Employment Status Permanent / Ongoing FTE/Hours per week 9hrs/week Role Details The Opportunity St Joseph’s School, Clare, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Canteen Coordinator to join our school team/community. This is a permanent, 0.24FTE part-time position (9 hrs/wk), commencing at the beginning of the 2026 School year. Working under the general supervision of the APRIM, and reporting to the Canteen Committee, you will contribute to the effective running of our small canteen. In this role you will: be responsible for monitoring, scheduling and carrying out a range of activities associated with the day to day operations of the school canteen ensure an organised and efficient Canteen service is provided develop a suitable canteen menu in consultation with the Canteen Committee coordinate and undertake preparation of food for sale, ensuring minimum wastage ensure compliance with all relevant requirements of the SA Health Food Standards and the National Quality Standards/Framework Administer and facilitate volunteer rosters, supervise their activities and oversee sign-in and sign-out registers to achieve the smooth and efficient provision of the weekly canteen service About You You are a practical, reliable, safety-focused team member who takes pride in offering a quality canteen service. You enjoy hands-on work, can work both independently and collaboratively, are able to competently lead a team of volunteers and communicate effectively with colleagues, volunteers, school staff and students. You will bring: Experience and practical skills in canteen and kitchen routines and menus Excellence in customer service Sound organisational and time management skills Strong understanding of safe work practices, safe food handling and WHS requirements A collaborative approach and the ability to follow direction responsibly Role Requirements: A Certificate IV in food handling or similar and/or relevant equivalent competencies. Knowledge and application of WHS and Food Health policies, legislation and regulations Current Working with Children’s Check RRHAN-EC Certification First Aid Qualification Manual Handling and WHS awareness training Are you following us on LinkedIn & Facebook?
