Brief Summary of Role:

ASSEMBLER technology lead or Architect Role.

Components of the solution and deliver the project deliverables. The Technical Lead reduces the overall project technical risk by uncovering design issues early in the project life cycle, shares implementation best practices, and recommends solution alternatives. Additionally, the Lead will work with domain lead to partner with other team members to conduct design/code reviews during major project milestones. This is a hands-on role that requires significant technical experience and abilities with ASSEMBLER.

Architect will understand the AS-IS system architecture and work closely with client to understand the current issues and help them. Should be able to mentor the team, resolve the issues and help then whenever needed. This role should be able to understand the requirement correctly as per client need and able to pass details to team and get necessary work to be completed from team in given timelines. This role should review all teamwork and have significant technical experience and abilities with ASSEMBLER.

Key Skills:

· 8-10 Years of strong hands-on experience of troubleshooting, building, support, and testing ASSEMBLER Applications.

· 11 to 15 years candidate should have Architect knowledge to understand the existing system, review the work , understand the requirement, help the team in resolving the problems and mentor the team

· Must have strong experience in ASSEMBLER, SQL, JCL, REXX.

· Thorough knowledge of JCL :

Familiarity with Syncsort, IEBCOPY, IEGENER.

Ability to FTP to and from UNIX or PC environment.


· IMS :

· Understanding of IMS Transaction and batch environments. Understand concept of control regions, MPP and BMPs. Exposure to typical IMS commands to view transaction, stop and start

· Basic understanding of IMS databases, PSB, ACBs, DBDs.

· Basic understanding of IMS Logs and BAE ALOG.

· Db2 / Oracle : Basic table manipulation. Some proficiency in SQL. Use of embedded SQL. Ability to perform binds / grants (DB2). Use of popular tools such as TOAD to manipulate content of tables.

· Panels/CLIST/REXX : Understanding of Panels and CLIST.

· Good to have Layer 1 Transport networks and OSS Network Management Systems.

· Must have working experience in application support , enhancement, and patch update.

· Knowledge of Cobol application implementation methodology, Data Structures and Algorithms, Knowledge of different application frameworks

· Knowledge of version control and code quality tools

· Experienced in Agile ways of working.

Responsibilities:

Development, testing and deployment.

• Works directly with clients to lead projects, facilitates business process analysis sessions,
