Key accountabilities:
To manage the test automation delivery of complex projects / programs independently throughout the lifecycle. This will include ensuring that the project is delivered on time, meets business & technical requirements
Identifying and recommending / co-creating the automated testing processes, frameworks and utilities
Subject matter expert in the automation testing areas
Define, publish and track key performance metrics for the automated testing
Provide leadership, guidance, training and mentoring to implement test automation across project teams
Define and implement test automation strategy including roadmap, co-define tools, co-create framework & approach across project teams
Oversee technological execution of the recommended automation solution roadmap across project teams
Participate in Design and Architectural discussion / reviews of proposed automation solutions across project teams
Evaluate and select best usage of test automation tools for different purposes
Assist engineering management team with the technical presentation of proposed test automation solutions
Understanding database testing technologies
Ongoing knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
Should have Knowledge of multiple test automation frameworks, containers and virtualization, automated build management tools
Monitor programs to identify best practices that can be more widely adopted
Work with teams to monitor process compliance and identify opportunities for test automation process improvement
Should understand the high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate debate and drive decisions on appropriate solutions
Co-create and maintain scalable test frameworks for various functional and non-functional stages of the software development lifecycle.
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Should have 18 years of experience in software Automation testing
Should have 5+ years of working experience in a project/program/ delivery management role
Should have 6+ years working as Test Automation Architect, including proven experience of designing and implementing Automation Testing frameworks and methodology to support agile product development
Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skill combined with flexibility working in a dynamic, fast-moving product development environment
Strong understanding of Automation testing methodologies and best practices
Familiarity with industry standard open source Automation tools
