Job Summary: (Freshers only)


We are seeking a highly motivated Manual Test Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of software testing, familiarity with REST API testing, and hands-on experience with tools like Postman. This role is perfect for someone looking to build a strong career in manual testing and grow within a supportive and dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and execute manual test cases for new and existing features, focusing on functionality, usability, and performance.
  • Develop and implement test strategies and test plans for comprehensive coverage.
  • Perform REST API testing using tools like Postman, including validating API endpoints, responses, and error handling.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies with detailed steps to reproduce.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA, to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and potential issues.
  • Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, test scripts, and results.
  • Validate fixes for reported bugs and perform regression testing to ensure consistent software quality.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain test environments and test data as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in manual and API testing.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-1 year of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing.
  • Hands-on experience with REST API testing and tools like Postman for validating requests, responses, and error handling.
  • Understanding of software testing fundamentals, including test case design, execution, and defect reporting.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools, such as JIRA or TestRail.
  • Basic knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document findings effectively.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
