Job description


General Summary: The Senior Software Test Engineer I is responsible for creating and maintaining automated tests from manual test scripts and test cases.


This role works in partnership with the Engineering teams to provide support on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential problems.


Work Location : Pune only.


Candidate ready to relocate can also apply for this role.


Work Type: Hybrid Twice a week from Pune Hinjewadi office is mandatory.


Experience: 4 Years to 8 Years.


CTC: Best in the Industry.


Mandatory Skills: Python, Selenium, Rest API, Automation hands on minimum 3 Years.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Quality Engineering teams, with a high attention to detail in a disciplined agile environment.
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings.
  • May influence others within the Engineering team through the explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
  • Tests complex API, web, and mobile based applications that reference database back-end systems.
  • Creates and maintains automated test cases, executes test suites, reviews and diagnoses reported bugs, and ensures overall system quality prior to a customer release
  • Designs, develops, maintains, and troubleshoots automated suites of tests through continuous integration for value added feedback
  • Derives testing requirements throughout the development cycle
  • Reproduces, debugs, and isolates problems and verifies fixes
  • Assists in creation of software artifacts including test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports
  • Plans test schedules and/or strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates
  • Reviews software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness and to mitigate risks
  • Provides feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality
  • Identifies program deviance from standards and suggests modifications to ensure compliance
  • Develops and specifies standards, methods, or procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
  • Conducts historical analyses of test results
  • Collaborates with colleagues to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming language
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of builds and deployments
  • Ability to update base level classes without causing issues
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to meet reasonable deadlines
  • Strong team player with the ability to build positive and collaborative relationships
  • Knowledge of programming concepts and ability to read complex manual test cases and implement new actions, fragments, and scripts


Educational/Vocational / Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent business experience
  • 4 to 8 years of relevant experience


Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid depending on location
  • 0-10% travel may be required.
