Job Description Summary:The Software Engineer-III designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Required Qualifications 10+ years of professional experience in z/OS systems programming, security, or product engineering. Strong proficiency in IBM Assembler and REXX . Deep understanding of z/OS internals (APF, SVC, PC, cross-memory services, control blocks). Demonstrated expertise in system dump reading and analysis . Exposure to RACF, ACF2, and Top Secret —with working knowledge of security profiles, rules, and access controls. Solid debugging and problem-solving skills in complex mainframe environments. Ability to work independently at a mid-senior level , while collaborating closely with global, cross-functional teams.  Preferred Qualifications Experience with project management tools like Jira Prior contribution to security-focused mainframe tools or utilities . Excellent communication skills for working with distributed engineering teams and enterprise customers .
