Qualifications & ExperienceMust Haves:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Proven experience in civil engineering, with a focus on solar energy projects.Proficiency in civil engineering design software and tools.Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Self-motivated and capable of working independently and within a team.Nice to have:Professional Engineering (PE) license.Experience in solar project development, construction, or operations.Familiarity with renewable energy project financing and economics.Knowledge of sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.Proficiency in AutoCAD or other relevant design software.

Role RequirementsSolar Project Site Assessment: Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate the suitability of locations for solar installations. Consider factors such as topography, geotechnical conditions, drainage, and environmental impact.Civil Design and Permitting: Lead the civil design phase of solar projects, including site layout, foundation design, and structural considerations. Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Foundation Design: Design and oversee the construction of foundations for solar panels and related infrastructure, ensuring stability and durability in various soil and climate conditions.Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and design infrastructure components such as access roads, fencing, and drainage systems to support solar projects.Project Management: Manage and oversee contractors and subcontractors during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.Quality Assurance and Safety: Implement and monitor quality control and safety protocols to ensure that all construction activities meet industry standards and safety requirements.Cost Management: Work to optimize project costs, providing cost estimates, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of project plans, engineering calculations, construction progress, and as-built documentation.
