Role Description: News Editor

We are seeking a full-time, on-site News Editor to join our team in Delhi, India. The News Editor will be responsible for managing the news desk's daily operations, leading a team of writers, and ensuring the highest editorial standards are maintained. Key responsibilities include assigning and editing news stories, copyediting, and fact-checking. You will work closely with the editorial team to generate new story ideas, maintain editorial accuracy, and uphold quality in every piece of content. Building and maintaining strong relationships with industry insiders, sources, and contacts will also be a crucial part of the role.

QualificationsExpertise in news writing, journalism, and editorial processesStrong writing and editing skillsExperience in new media and digital journalismMeticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyAbility to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong organizational and project management capabilitiesBachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related fieldPrior experience in the apparel, fashion, or textile industries is an advantage
