Electrical Integration – Electro-Mechanical – Engineer

Job Responsibilities:
∙Will be part of Train Electrical Integration department that performs all technical activities necessary for the
integration of Train Electrical systems for various types of Rail vehicles
∙Reports into Electrical Integration Domain Manager
∙Electromechanical Design:
oDevelop and design electromechanical systems and components for passenger rolling stock.
oEnsure integration of sheet metal parts, and other electromechanical components.
∙Sheet Metal Design:
oDesign and develop sheet metal components for rolling stock, ensuring they meet the required
specifications and standards.
∙Electrical Harness Design:
oDesign electrical harnesses for train systems, including train level harnesses.
oDevelop detailed schematics and layouts for electrical wiring and components.
∙Cubicles and Cabinets:
oDesign electrical cubicles and cabinets for rolling stock, ensuring optimal placement and functionality.
oDevelop cable ducts and underframe components.
∙Driver Panel and Ceiling Design:
oDesign and develop driver panels and ceiling components for metro units.
oEnsure designs are ergonomic and user-friendly.
∙Rolling Stock standards:
oEnsure all designs comply with rolling stock standards and requirements.
oUtilize experience in rolling stock to optimize designs for performance and safety.
∙Project Management:
oWork closely with project managers to ensure timely delivery of design milestones.
oParticipate in design reviews and provide technical expertise.
∙Collaboration:
oCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance.
oInterface with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical support.
Academic Qualifications:
∙BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience required:
∙Rolling stock domain experience is essential. In some cases, an equivalent experience in other industries /
domains can also be considerable.
∙Minimum duration of relevant experience required is:
o6 years for Electro-Mechanical Engineer position andRequirements
• Electromechanical Exposure: Proven experience in electromechanical design, specifically for rolling stock or metro units. • Sheet Metal: Strong knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes. • Electrical Harness: Experience in designing and developing electrical harnesses and wiring systems. • Rolling Stock Background: Must have a background in rolling stock design and engineering. • Cubicle and Cabinet Design: Proficiency in designing electrical cubicles, cabinets, and related components. • Cable Ducts and Underframe: Experience in designing cable ducts and underframe components for rolling stock. • Driver Panel and Ceiling: Knowledge in designing driver panels and ceiling components for metro units. • Good knowledge of materials and manufacturing/assembly processes viz. forming, cutting, welding, fastening, bonding, surface protection etc. • General understanding EN/UIC standards related to Electro-Mechanical design and ability to interpret/ review structural analysis / calculation reports to take appropriate decisions. • Excellent knowledge of reading / interpreting manufacturing drawings notations and application of tolerances. • Appreciable understanding of the product cost influencers (material, process, design etc.) during concept /solution selection phase. • Proficiency to execute CAD tasks to create or modify 3D models and 2D drawings in PLM environment, desirably in Creo and Windchill, including drawing standards, change management and release workflows. • Good oral and written English communication skills
