Role DescriptionWe are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with strong DTP skills to join our Children’s Book Publication Division at Sapna Book House. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing engaging and imaginative layouts for children’s books, as well as creating promotional materials aimed at young readers and educators.

Experience in preparing files for print production, as well as a keen eye for child-friendly design aesthetics, is essential.

This is a full-time on-site role at Sapna Book House in Bengaluru. In addition to the Children's book division, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating graphics, designing logos, developing branding materials, and utilizing typography to enhance visual communication for marketing purpose.The role will involve collaborating with internal teams to translate concepts into visual assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Layout : Create and execute visually appealing layouts for books, catalogs, and brochures, adhering to brand guidelines and templates.•

Marketing Materials : Design eye-catching marketing materials such as banners, posters, flyers, and social media visuals for book promotions, author events, and brand campaigns.•

Print-Ready Files : Prepare files for print production, ensuring high-quality output, proper formats, and resolution.•

Cover Design : Conceptualize and design book covers that are visually striking and aligned with genre, theme, and audience.•

Typesetting : Layout text for books, ensuring readability, appropriate font choices, and professional composition.•

Collaborate with Authors/Editors : Work closely with authors, editors, and the production team to ensure alignment on design elements and layouts.•

Illustration & Visual Assets : Create and edit visual assets such as illustrations, charts, and graphs to enhance book content and marketing materials.•

Quality Control : Proof and review designs before final submission to ensure alignment with brand standards, typographical accuracy, and consistency.•

Video & Animation : Assist in the creation of short promotional videos, book trailers, and animations using Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro.•

Brand Consistency : Maintain brand consistency across all printed and digital materials while also bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table.•

Stay Updated : Keep abreast of design trends and the latest software updates to ensure that designs are current and engaging.

Required Skills:

• Software Expertise :• Adobe InDesign• Adobe Photoshop• Adobe Illustrator• Adobe Premiere Pro• Adobe After Effects• CorelDRAW• PageMaker•

Language : Fluency in English, both written and verbal, Knowing Kannada is a plus.

•

Other Skills :• Strong typography skills and attention to detail• Knowledge of printing processes and color management• Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple projects at once• Proactive and self-motivated with a creative mindset

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.Proven experience in book design and print media is preferred.
