Avyaan Games is an indie game development studio based in India. We are currently working on a 2D Metroidvania game inspired by Hindu mythology. Our team consists of two passionate members—a programmer and an environment artist—and we’re looking to expand by bringing on a 2D Character Artist who is also skilled in character animation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and create 2D character sprites that complement our game's mythological setting.
  • Animate characters, with a preference for frame-by-frame animation, though Spine-based animators are also welcome.
  • Work closely with the programmer and environment artist to maintain a cohesive visual style and ensure smooth integration of assets.
  • Manage the character asset pipeline, ensuring all assets are optimized for gameplay.

Requirements:

  • Strong portfolio showcasing 2D character designs and animations (experience with games preferred).
  • Proficiency in frame-by-frame animation (preferred) or Spine-based animation.
  • Understanding of game asset creation and workflow.
  • Experience working on games is a plus.
