**Summary:**
To support the rapidly growing user community and the introduction of new and innovative products and services, Meta is continually expanding its network infrastructure around the globe. We are looking for a Network Implementation Engineer (Formerly Known As Fibre Delivery Engineer) to join our Network Infrastructure team in Asia Pacific (APAC) to drive key milestones for critical backbone infrastructure with a focus on our network in India. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help set the technical requirements and ensure the on-time/in-spec delivery during the execution of the program. You will support Network Development Managers in the development and implementation of strategies to provide Meta with best-in-class economics and optimal flexibility/scalability. In addition, you will be responsible for reviewing the progress and performance of the fiber delivery and completing the validation and acceptance according to the required criteria.
**Required Skills:**
Network Implementation Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Build and manage a portfolio of fiber infrastructure suppliers to ensure transparency with project management and information flow
2. Manage fiber acceptance testing and validation for performance characteristics
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage metric-driven supplier quarterly business reviews to evaluate in-life performance and opportunities for improvement
4. Report on key metrics for infrastructure projects: On-time performance, Vendor performance, Monthly and yearly activated services and financial performance
5. Collaborate with Network Development Managers and ensure key technical requirements are included during the pre-contract forming phase
6. Keep abreast of technological developments in the telecom wholesale market and position Meta in the right place.
7. Collaborate across cross-functional teams to synchronize fiber deployment schedule with fiber acceptance
8. Work with data located in different systems, correlate data and build datasets to be used across different tools/systems
9. Identify internal system workflow improvements to define the requirements for development improvements
10. Travel up to 25% of the time
**Minimum Qualifications:**

11. BA, BSc, BEng or equivalent in technical or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience in network deployment fiber projects
12. Experience in terrestrial fiber network design and technology
13. Certification or a proven track record in project management techniques and tools (e.g. Project Management Professional)
14. Demonstrated understanding of fiber specs, interpretation of Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry (OTDR) traces, and fiber handover packages
15. Experience engaging vendors on aspects of network design, planning and construction, particularly in India
16. Experience in relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team
17. Familiarity working with data in different tools and capacity to structure/clean data and create correlations
18. Capacity and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

20. Experience with long haul and metro networks
21. Demonstrates proven track record of major deal delivery (at multiple fiber pair scale) and familiarity with permitting and regulatory environment across the APAC region
22. Understanding of subsea systems and associated fiber technologies
23. Communicate in 1 or more regional business languages as the role requires communication with partners in local languages
