THE GIG We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Now Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in driving the design, development, and implementation of Service Now solutions that support our enterprise service management strategy. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across IT and business units to deliver scalable, efficient, and innovative solutions using the Service Now platform. You will report into the Head of Enterprise Enablement & Automation and work cross-functionally with HR, IT, Finance, and Retail Operations to streamline processes, enhance employee productivity, and ensure seamless integration of automation initiatives. The stuff that sets you apart Must-Have Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with Service Now development and administration Proven track record of delivering complex Service Now implementations across multiple modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, HRSD etc) Experience in managing Service Now upgrade projects, platform migrations, and integrations with third-party systems Strong understanding of ITIL processes and how they align with Service Now capabilities Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and manage stakeholder expectations Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java / Java Script, HTML, CSS, and REST/SOAP APIs Deep expertise in Service Now Studio, Flow Designer, UI Builder, Custom Apps / Widgets, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Policies Strong knowledge of Service Now data model, CMDB design, and Discovery Experience with Service Now Integration Hub, MID Server configuration, and custom integrations Familiarity with Performance / Platform Analytics, Reporting, and Dashboards Understanding of security best practices within Service Now, including ACLs and role-based access control, and governing best practices for update sets, system upgrades and releases. Service Now certifications such as Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, or Certified Implementation Specialist are highly desirable. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
