The International Forum for Environment, Sustainability & Technology (iFOREST), is looking for young professionals to support the organisation’s communication team.
A successful applicant must have copywriting skills, communication design experience and social media expertise with specialized knowledge across LinkedIn, X and Instagram to develop the organization’s social media strategy.
About iFOREST
iFOREST is an independent not-for-profit research and innovation organisation that was established in 2019 to identify, promote and scale up solutions for pressing environment-development challenges in India and other developing countries in Asia and Africa.
Our work is rooted in regional priorities to accelerate environmental actions at the sub-national level and to improve national policies and plans to support it. Our mission is to address the unique needs of regions by leveraging our resources and expertise to scale up national action and make a global impact. We use our regional knowledge to inform national policy and plans and strengthen international collaboration.
To achieve our goals, we conduct independent evidence-based research, develop new knowledge and innovative solutions, convene stakeholders to increase awareness and build consensus, and partner with think tanks, civil society, government agencies, philanthropies and industry to scale up solutions.
Responsibility/Competencies
- To support the communication team by producing compelling social media content and designing communication campaigns to support iFOREST’s research on climate change, Just Transition, renewable energy and climate governance among other areas.
- Ability to write sharp copy for social media and create visually striking posters and reels using Adobe, Canva, Instagram reels and carousels.
- Ability to create engaging data visuals, convert complex climate science into stunning visuals and infographics.
- Research support for podcasts and video explainers.
- PR and outreach support with round tables, dialogues, report releases and workshops.

Full time.
Educational Qualification and Work experience
A graduate with at least 1-2 years of experience in communication design and social media management are encouraged to apply.
Skills Required
- The applicant must have social media expertise with specialized knowledge across LinkedIn, X and Instagram to develop the organization’s social media strategy.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal English and Hindi language skills to enable sharp copywriting.
- Solid experience in creating social media campaigns with a call to action.
- Data visualization skills, simplifying reports into LinkedIn carousels and audio-visual content experience.
- An interest in environment research and climate communications is preferred.
