JD for Tax Research Analyst - Key Responsibilities: Unclaimed Property Tax 1.      Prepare and file Unclaimed Property Tax returns for multiple states in accordance with statutory deadlines 2.      Review company records to identify reportable unclaimed property. 3.      Coordinate with internal departments to gather and validate data for reporting. 4.      Maintain accurate filing documentation and audit trails. 5.      Monitor changes in state unclaimed property laws and reporting requirements. 6.      Respond to state correspondence and assist with audits as needed. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Sales & Use Tax returns 1.      Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax returns for multiple states and local jurisdictions. 2.      Ensure timely and accurate submission of all tax filings and payments. 3.      Reconcile tax accounts and review data for accuracy before filing. 4.      Maintain detailed records of all filings, notices, and correspondence. 5.      Research and stay updated on changes in Sales & Use Tax regulations. 6.      Coordinate with internal teams to gather sales data and transaction reports. 7.      Assist with audits and respond to state or local tax authority inquiries. Key Responsibilities: Business & Personal Property Tax Returns 1.      Prepare Business personal property tax returns working for companies’ various property across U.S. states and counties. 2.      Reconcile fixed asset data to ensure accuracy before filing. 3.      Track assessment notices, filing deadlines, and tax bills. 4.      Communicate with state and local tax authorities if needed. 5.      Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance purposes. 6.      Monitor changes in property tax regulations and update filing processes accordingly. 7.      Support appeals and assessment reviews when necessary.   Qualifications: ·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). ·       1–3 years of experience with unclaimed property, Sales & Use and property tax compliance Tax compliance or tax filing. ·       Strong knowledge of state-specific unclaimed property reporting processes. ·       Excellent analytical and organizational skills. ·       Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SOVOS will be added advantage. ·       Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain attention to detail. Preferred Skills: ·       Experience working with multi-state unclaimed property reporting. ·       Prior experience in corporate tax or compliance functions. ·       Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilitie Ability to manage multiple filings and meet strict deadlines.
